Terms and Conditions for Carreg London
1. Introduction
1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the contractual relationship between Carreg London (“the Company”) and the client (“the Client”) for construction services.
1.2 By engaging the Company’s services, the Client agrees to be bound by these Terms.
2. Services Provided
2.1 The Company agrees to provide construction services as detailed in the project proposal or contract.
2.2 Any additional services not specified in the initial agreement will require a separate written agreement.
3. Quotations and Payment
3.1 Quotations provided by the Company are estimates based on the information available at the time of quoting.
3.2 Payment terms shall be outlined in the project contract, including deposit amounts, progress payments, and final payments.
3.3 All invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice date unless otherwise specified.
3.4 Late payments may incur interest at a rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate.
4. Changes to the Project
4.1 Any changes to the project scope must be agreed upon in writing by both parties and may result in additional costs and adjustments to the project timeline.
4.2 The Company will provide the Client with a revised quote for any agreed changes.
4.3 The Client will be notified of any changes to timelines or costs resulting from project modifications.
5. Client Responsibilities
5.1 The Client shall provide all necessary information and access to the work site to enable the Company to perform the services.
5.2 The Client is responsible for obtaining any necessary planning permissions or approvals unless otherwise agreed.
6. Liability and Insurance
6.1 The Company maintains appropriate liability insurance. A copy of the insurance certificate is available upon request.
6.2 The Company is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from its services.
6.3 The Client shall indemnify the Company against any claims arising from the Client’s failure to provide accurate information or comply with relevant regulations.
7. Warranties and Guarantees
7.1 The Company guarantees its workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of completion of the project.
7.2 Any materials supplied may be subject to the manufacturer’s warranties, which will be passed on to the Client.
8. Termination
8.1 Either party may terminate the contract by providing 30 days’ written notice if the other party breaches any material term of these Terms and fails to remedy the breach.
8.2 Upon termination, the Client shall pay for all work completed up to the termination date.
9. Dispute Resolution
9.1 In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt resolution through mediation before pursuing legal action.
10. Governing Law
10.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
11. Amendments
11.1 The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes.
12. Acceptance of Terms
12.1 By signing the project agreement or accepting a quote, the Client acknowledges and agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
